The short version

  • There are no accounts and no forms on this site.
  • Google Analytics only runs if you click Accept in the cookie banner.
  • If you email me or book a call, I use your details only to reply and work with you.
  • I don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

What I collect and why

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to show me which pages people read and how they found them. It records the pages you visit, your approximate location (country or city), your device and browser type, the site that referred you, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. Google Analytics 4 doesn’t log or store IP addresses, and advertising features are switched off.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act, ZEKom-2). You can withdraw it at any time with . Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months, the longest period Google Analytics allows, and then deleted automatically.

When you email me

I receive your name, email address and whatever you write. I use it to reply and, if we work together, to run the project. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, or performing it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and my legitimate interest in answering messages (Article 6(1)(f)). I keep emails for as long as the conversation or project needs them. Invoices and related records are kept for as long as Slovenian accounting and tax law requires.

When you book a call

The “Book a call” links open Cal.com, a separate scheduling service. When you book, it collects your name, email, the time you pick and any notes you add, and shares them with me so we can meet. Cal.com processes this under its own privacy policy. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Server logs

Like every website, the host that serves this site, Netlify, automatically logs technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser, time and the page requested. These logs keep the site secure and running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify keeps them only as long as it needs them for security and operation, under its own data processing terms.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. It does remember your choice in your browser’s local storage, which is strictly necessary and needs no consent.

If you decline after accepting, the analytics cookies are deleted.

Who else handles data

I use a few services that process data on my behalf or alongside me:

  • Google: Google Analytics, only with your consent, and Gmail for email.
  • Netlify, Inc.: hosting the website.
  • Cal.com, Inc.: scheduling calls.

Some of these companies are based in the United States or may transfer data there. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in their data processing terms.

The site also links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and the products in my portfolio. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask me to:

  • Tell you what personal data I hold about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct it if it’s wrong.
  • Delete it, or restrict how I use it.
  • Send it to you or another service in a usable format.
  • Stop using it where I rely on legitimate interest.

Email dejan.tomazin@gmail.com and I’ll reply within one month. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time with .

You also have the right to complain to the Slovenian supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec), Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
